Scholarships
HIGH SCHOOL GIRL OF THE YEAR SCHOLARSHIP
The Girl of the Month Awards, for each month of the school year, recognizes current high school seniors for commitment in community service, exemplary volunteerism, and her efforts to enrich the experiences of others in society, at school and at home. One recipient will receive the Girl of the Year Scholarship: a $1,000 scholarship. Application and more information available through the Counselors Office at all Carson City high schools.
GIVE HER WINGS SCHOLARSHIP
A $1,000.00 scholarship to be applied to costs for post high school training directed toward a course of study that will result in a credential license or certification or an academic degree. The scholarship may be used at a community college, business college, technical institute, trade school, state college or university. The selected recipient must attend a college/trade school with a minimum of half-time status during the following academic year.
SOROPTIMIST INTERNATIONAL OF CARSON CITY WOMEN’S NURSING SCHOLARSHIP
A scholarship of at least $1,000 is awarded to a WNC nursing student. Application and more information available through the WNC Financial Aid Office.
SOROPTIMIST INTERNATIONAL OF CARSON CITY WOMEN’S WORKFORCE, CAREER & TECHNICAL EDUCATION SCHOLARSHIP
A scholarship of at least $1,000 awarded to a WNC student working toward a trade, business, or technical degree. Application and more information available through the WNC Financial Aid Office.
SOROPTIMIST INTERNATIONAL OF CARSON CITY WOMEN’S EDUCATIONAL SCHOLARSHIP
