Becoming a Member
Women join Soroptimist because they feel the organization will provide value to their lives as a volunteer. Potential Soroptimist members are:
* looking for ways to help women and girls
* seeking a way to be involved in their community
* investigating organizations, looking for the best fit
Want to connect with like-minded women? Think you might like to be a Soroptimist? Read on . . .
Soroptimist membership provides an enriching environment for women to develop friendships and to support each other, while experiencing the satisfaction of their collective efforts to improve communities. Soroptimist are women, who share the Soroptimist mission and vision, who also serve as role models for younger women.
Membership is open to those interested in improving the lives of women and children locally and globally. Women who are interested in joining Soroptimist International of Carson City should attend some club meetings to learn more about our programs and activities. New members will be matched with an existing club member as her Club Mentor, to provide guidance and support. Newly inducted members should make time to attend a Club Orientation, held periodically throughout the year. Members pay dues, payable at the time they join the Club, prorated based on the time of year, and then annually each June. Regular attendance at club meetings and participation in club committees is strongly encouraged, but not mandatory. If you are interested in learning more about Soroptimist, or becoming a SI Carson City member, please contact our club through our Contact Us page.
Join Our Volunteer Team
SI Carson City always welcomes individuals who would like to volunteer at our events, on special projects or program activities. You do not need to be a club member to volunteer. If you would like to be on our Volunteer Team and be contacted for special events and projects, please visit our Contact Us page. You can send an email letting us know about your volunteer interests.
